Got stuck in Cold Bay last weekend.

Need to fish.... But forecasted high temps are in the teens...maybe low twenties depending on the site.  10 to 15knt North winds.....  I have my kids.....

Its on the edge of comfort for me...let alone a ten year old.....

Anyone?  I get the feeling I am going to attempt it...not sure how smart that is.....

  Rudy....... that's pretty f....'n cold.
If you make it out ---- good luck.
That will be some hard earned fish.

   Brrrrrrr rabbit.
Life is short---live it tall.

Be kinder than necessary--- everyone is fighting some kind of battle.

Sailors may be struck down at any time, in calm or in storm, but the sea does not do it for hate or spite.
She has no wrath to vent. Nor does she have a hand in kindness to extend.
She is merely there, immense, powerful, and indifferent

I wouldn't mess with the cold. Time to go icefishing,of course waiting for safe ice, if it can stay cold! Maybe do some small game hunting. Going to do some muskrat trapping soon. Waiting to go out to flathorn too.

Rudy, if you're going fishing this weekend let me know. I got my cold weather gear situation sorted out. Boat would be 100% ready to go but Cannon decided they weren't quite ready to part with that crank handle when my new Lake-Troll left the factory.

Getting a bit too cold for my fingers at 15 degrees!   I need to invent some immersible waterproof battery-heated gloves B4 I go out at 10 degrees.

Last forecast I saw was overnight lows in the single digits, and highs of 17 to 18 degrees, which we know will be the afternoon.

I'd love to fish - but not this tide.   GL to you guys!

it's looking less likely. not because of the cold but kids are being invited to parties and such. as much as I like them to fish, I don't want them to be socially incompetent like I am so we may wait one weejend...I need a November king. my son's already got his. Lol.

I would like to go get on the water, but the marginal forecast coupled with a long honey do list may keep closer to home this weekend.

I'm heading down to Homer today, primarily to just get the boat in the water. If a fish cooperates, it's all gravy. I'll post a report when I get back.
