Most of the lakes in the area are frozen solid.  Shown below is Lindbergh Lake, one of the last lakes to freeze up.  It's time to hang up my kayaks for the winter.  Take the kayak racks off my vehicle.  Put away my kayak fishing gear.

But the good news is that now we can go ice fishing!  It's the end of one season, but the beginning of another.

The kayak fishing season is definitely over in Montana.
