We are able to receive your payment for AOTY 2016 starting NOW - if you refresh the NWKA home page you will see the updated PayPal link.

Is there anyway to add a "other species" section to the categories? For people who get a chance to travel and do a little bit of fishing. This will be my first year doing AOTY. Any good info to start out with?

We've had a couple of requests for this, but I don't think we're going to see this change for 2016. The focus is on a regional competition for a regional club. Don't get me wrong, I felt the same way too in 2014 when I went to Texas and had the chance to fish for specs and redfish.

I'm glad you'll be doing AOTY in 2016! It can be a good way to get motivated to get out fishing, or try a spot you haven't tried before, or fish with new friends. The only advice I have is to browse old posts and notice where the big fish come from. And it never hurts to ask, especially if you've put in some time and are striking out. There's a lot of friendly people on NWKA.
