got my semi dry suit!!

went to next adventure today and picked up a kokatat hydrus 3l super nova paddler suit i think it is called. just need a vhf radio now and will be able to hit a few spots in the ocean. woo hooo!!! think i will take it out to benson lake on sunday and paddle, fish, and practice falling out and getting back in.

what shoe should i look into for the suit? just over size neoprene booties?

I picked up the cheap neosport zip up ones up on amazon. Got the 3mm but i would get the 5mm if i did it again. When its cold its cold lol. But the work good no issues.

+1 for the NRS ATB.  I have yet to get cold feet with them and a thick pair of wool socks.  Just remember to get a bigger size to allow for extra socks.  I wear a size 13 and got the 14 boots (only because they don't make 15s)

I have the 5mm Neo Sports zip ups from my paddling days, and they're quite comfortable, but when I'm pedaling the Hobie, I wear 7mm Aqua Lung hard-soled dive boots - the strap on the NRS ATB boots interfered with the pedal straps on the Mirage drive.

I just use a pair of aqua socks water shoes from Target, one full size larger works perfect over the dry suit socks with wool socks under.

For wearing over couple of layers of socks + dry suit socks - buy shoes +2 or +3 size to your casual shoes size. I wear usual shoes size 10 and bought neoprene shoes size 12 and they fit tight, I guess should have buy 13...
