Here is a video of me sailing my Outback for the first time.  For it not being a kayak that's meant to sailed it did surprisingly well.  Although Insayn and bluewrx02 were pretty much running circles around me.   ;D

Nothing special, just the Hobie sail kit, Sidekicks, and furling kit

Looks like fun! How fast do you think you were going?  I bet this will open up some new fishing grounds.
I dont know for sure how fast I was going but if I was to guess I'd say no faster then I can peddle but to be able to go that fast without peddling is the key.  It'd be easier to sail across the lake then to peddle all the way then peddle back.  Sailing with the wind I'd say I was going at maybe 4mph to 4.5mph.  My top speed peddling this tub is about that and only for short bursts.  I cant maintain that speed for very long. 
Plus, it was tons of fun!  To quote Insayn, "its more fun than a grown man should legally have alone with some plastic!"
