Gave them a spin today and I have to say, I really like them!!  Fit was good, didn't bind or anything.  Paired with a kokatat pac light jacket seems like a super nice setup. I don't see any water getting past the waist really with their integrated belt.

If anyone is looking for other options, this one gets a thumbs up.
