My buddy Ralph and I launched today at The California street boat ramp in Coos Bay. Trolled for about 4 1/2 hours( about 5 1/2 miles). The upriver troll was nice as we were going with the incoming tide and the wind was calm. The down river troll on the other hand was a different story all together. The wind whipped up and we were still fighting the incoming tide, but the wind was biggest problem.

Snapped a couple pics of the workhorses of the river. The little tug sure is cute.

And a pic of Ralph trolling. I was giving him grief about his net all day.

NO FISH!!  well, none caught. Saw five jumpers and i got one take down that didn't hook up. realized after, my hooks were pretty darn dull, grrr. The one power boater we talked to when we were leaving caught one jack and saw a 25 pounder caught. At least there out there, gonna hit it again tomorrow with sharp hooks, hope for better luck.

Shucks, I have to work that day.  I'm working dayshift with w/ Fri thru Sun off now.  I'm working on my pole building now and then I have to paint the trim on the house before winter comes.  My wife's idea.  But, I will try to sneak out of honeydoooooos and go fishing soon.  I was looking at the weather and it looks like rough water on the ocean through the weekend.

I thought Labor Day Weekend was to take a break from work.  My wife thinks different.  Plus our anniversary is Tuesday.  Seven years married w/2 sons.  8 yrs together total.

Now if i could just give a Salmon fishing lesson.... That same Plane flies over my house everyday, they give people rides. About 30 minutes or so, i'm not into flying much at all but it would be cool to take of and land on the water.

Back at it again tomorrow, gonna try a different area of the same river.

went out were the catching has been. Still no fish for use, the ones that work the hardest, no damn love. My neighbor caught a 32 pounder farther up the river. Saw plenty caught, just none on my hook. I think the song fits this video perfectly, there was that many boats again behind me, probably 50 all togther. Yes, a ZOO.
