Dry Suit vs Survival Suit

Dumb question: anyone ever try a Survival Suit? Much cheaper than a dry suit, obviously very safe, probably not very comfortable if you're going to be paddling very far offshore. Likely a challenge to self rescue in the beast.

Full disclosure, I've been using my Mustang Survival Swift Water Rescue Drysuit for 4 years and love it, just was curious about this alternative.

They look just awesome! But I guess it is not comfortable at all...

Here are some Mustang dry suits, probably the "Mustang Survival Ice Commander Rescue Suit," being used by Seeley Lake, Montana search and rescue members at a polar bear plunge, in temperatures near zero.  These guys spent a long time in the water with no apparent discomfort, but the gloves are permanently attached to the suits, so they wouldn’t be tying any fishing knots or doing any other delicate work while wearing the suits.  The permanently-attached hoods would be uncomfortable and overkill in most fishing conditions, and would get in the way if you pulled them back off your head.
