Happy new addition to my fleet... I bought an Emotion 14' Fisherman from a fellow in Bend OR.  I brought my fishing buddy to help me load up, and he ended up buying himself another kayak also.  There were four other Emotion fisherman models sitting on the racks.

His backyard, garage, and huge enclosed trailer were all loaded with with various types/models of Kayaks.

We looked at each other shaking our heads, most of the kayaks had not been used or hardly used.  Anyway- I am happy with my  $285.00 purchase, as it was still wrapped in plastic! My friend paid only $250.00 because he picked one with some sun fade.  Although, his is a two hatch model and mine a single.

Super nice guy with an AMAZING assortment of equipment.  I usually am a haggler, but felt it would have been bad form in this case.

On another note, I also am disapointed with the Waldport Towing incident.
That anyone would be so crass, to do something like that, is disgusting.  I'm glad nobody had a medical emergency compounded due to, oh I don't know...maybe because their vehicles were stolen?

I will stay out of Waldport until it is rectified.

We want pics!

How 'bout some pics from Prineville Reservoir tonight?

Scott, any chance you can pass on the info for other folks looking for kayaks?  Does this guy have a retail shop?  Website?

Thanks

I know I would really appreciate that info.  It sounds like you got a great deal on some boats.

I need to get my camera out!  Sorry no pics.  Very nice evening.  Started windy, then at sunset the wind died and calmed the water.  Fish were not to be tempted.  I think a post spawn lull?  I took my daughter (6yrs) who enjoyed standing up on the stern.  She was screaming about being a sail.  Its worked pretty good actually.

I liked the boat.  It was quick and held a line.  I stood up and felt... like I know I wasn't supposed to be standing -but I always do it anyway.  Foot brackets comfortably adjusted and I enjoyed my paddling.  I wish I could have caught some fish.  We shared a can of sardines when we got home to celebrate.  Always an adventure.

Here is the information on those boats.

Ethan is the seller, he mentioned about me possibly putting some info out there NWKA.  I was not comfortable with promoting a business on the site (unless asked for info).  I think he will be happy to liquidate some of the inventory out of his garage and backyard with help from NWKA.
I am in need of a dry suit and will be calling him on one soon.
Good luck out there,
Scott

I exchanged some emails with Ethan this morning.  Hah!  He donated a Stohlquist Fisherman's PFD to the Pacific City Derby!!!   ;D

I invited him to post some of his for sale stuff in the classifieds sections.

Looks like Bill Walker works for him now.  Bill owned Seattle Raft and Kayak until recently.  SRK was an original sponsor of our first derby.  Small world ...

Ethan's a super-cool guy. I've known him for years. Glad to see he's getting on board here, I've mentioned it to him a couple of times.
