Well... new to ME!

I was a couple of blocks from Next Adventure watching a weightlifting contest at Magnus Barbell on Saturday when there was a break in the action. My daughter and I walked over as I remembered there was a sale going on out there. Lots of people! In the middle of it I found a well worn Medium IR drysuit with new gaskets for $300! I tried it on while my daughter patiently waited. A perfect fit! I was worried that I would need to look for a medium/stout or get a large. apparently not.

Thanks again, Next Adventure, for throwing the sale (I think I heard about it on the radio)! Now I'll feel a little more confident about taking a dip in the briny seas, but I still won't throw all caution to the wind.

So, now I'm thinking about drysuit shoes/boots? I'm concerned about getting wear and tear on the wader-like material on my drysuit's boots. Any suggestions?

There's a couple of good threads on this you can find. There seems to be a lot of variation in preference. Some people use crocs. Some people like wetsuit boots. I prefer wading boots, but beware they make it more difficult to swim and get back in your kayak. But they sure do protect your suit and your skin from rockfish spines!

This is what I wear outside my drysuit. They are soft-soled and work well with my Hobie pedals. I got my second pair after wearing out the first pair with five years of active fishing. I run cold so under the drysuit I wear heavy wool socks.

easy - go to a dive store and grab a pair of large enough beach shoes or even go so far as to get a pair of dive boots... or crocs.

I use simple water shoes (aquasocks) from Target/Freddies/Walmart that were like $10.  got them one size larger, work great over my drysuit and waders...

Depends on location. For a paved launch or sand/gravel, low booties. But a muddy launch will suck them right off. DAMHIK

I wear a pair of diving rock boots over the drypants socks (lots of room for warm socks inside).  If I'm not wearing the dry pants, a pair of neoprene wetsuit boots.  I save the crocs for driving home.  :)
