The stock seat from my original 2011 Trident-11 finally self destructed when the little plastic rods up the back broke through the fabric both top and bottom. While I could probably fix it, I see that Ocean Kayak has several other types of seat that all start with the word "Comfort..." Does anyone have experience with any of the other seats and recommend one? Discomfort in my back has become the most limiting factor to my enjoyment of kayak fishing since my seat went kaput.

Got a GTS Elite for mine when it did the same thing. Very comfortable.

+1 for the Surf to Summit GTS (I choose the Expedition).

Thanks, guys. Just ordered the Expedition. I think that's going to help me keep going. :)

The Ocean Kayak Comfort Zone seat is what I use and it's much better than the stock seats.  That said,   the Surf to Summit GTS expedition is a very nice upgrade.

I'm looking forward to it. After the other day with the back of the old one sliding down....barely ambulatory by the end of the day.  Might be upgrading the other yaks if this works out.

You may want to check out the GTS Pro model.  Really comfortable.

I kinda like that OK provides a cheap seat, it gives you the option to find the one that suits you.  Those plastic rods poked through the fabric on my seat too.

I got the tip on the Pro model from Rob Choi's website called angling-addict.com.  He's got some great rigging videos for OK.

Let's see the pictures if the new seat! Here is the pictures of the old one  :banjo:
For those who aren't aware he sent me the old one for the grandsons sparky, old stock seat works great for a 4-1/2year old

QFT.  Factory seats from OK suck (at least the ones I've seen - the BGII and possibly some other new models supposedly comes with a nice seat).

I got a Skwoosh high back angler.  Definite improvement.

The STS expedition has a fat cushion on the bottom. You're raising your center of gravity some. That was the closer for me on the elite model.

That may be a problem for you and your powerful, manly upper body physique that makes you top-heavy. For my low-center-of-gravity fatass the extra 1" of height doesn't make a bit of difference...

I put an air cushion in my seat as extra so I can deflate it on surf entrance exits and Rapids.

Tried it out today for the first time. It's a Cadillac!

Nice how long did the new seat let you paddle for?
