It is latex. I was getting mixed answers before I bought mine but was relieved when it arrived and it was latex.

I found this in a search of the Stohlquist EZ, anyone ever ordered from this company or know if they're legit?

I am often tempted buy a killer deal as well and have been known to make purchases from less than scrupulous sites, but google searches don't make it look like a great one.

Other than that I wasn't able to find much of anything for the website which is generally not a good thing. If someone hasn't posted about it before then it's probably questionable.

Yeah that's what I came up with - not much, and that makes me leery as well.

Did you notice that the only color is black? That may be the reason they are so cheap. I would not want to wear an all black drysuit on the ocean on a sunny summer day. Especially a non-Goretex suit. If I could find an all white one, that would be awesome! Especially landing on the beach on a busy summer day at PC covered in fish blood.

At least the current year 2016 EZ has a neoprene neck, but it's not like the neo that you see on Kokatat or other semi drysuits and is pretty thick, stretchy and feel somewhere in between a neo and latex neck gasket in tightness.  It seems to provide a better seal that normal neoprene and be more comfortable that a traditional latex(and less upkeep) Stohlquist calls it their "superstretch"  the wrist gaskets are latex http://www.stohlquist.com/apparel/drysuits/ez.html

We use them in our rental and demo fleet, and they've been really solid suits so far, and tough to beat for the price. I would definitely try it on if you can before buying, every dry suit fits everyone a little different and it's always good to get a hands on feel for the suit.

No way.   It's either a scam or defective/returned merchandise, or perhaps used gear.   You get what you pay for with dry suits.   There is no free ride.
"A venturesome minority will always be eager to get off on their own,
and no obstacle should be placed in their path;
let them take risk, for God sake, let them get lost, sun burnt, stranded, drowned,
eaten by bears, buried alive under avalanches -
that is the right and privilege of any free American."

Foreign counterfeit products (mostly coming from China) are rampant on sites like Amazon and Ebay.

The site for the ultra discounted Stohlquist is probably one such example.    I looked for an address in their Contact Us and Shipping pages, and found none.  I also looked for a phone number on their site and again found nothing.   Avoid that site like the plague.  If it's not a scam, it's counterfeit, or worse.   Any retailer that can't give an address for their place of business, or even a phone number, isn't a legitimate seller.

They take payments through PayPal, so there is some protection against not receiving what you order and for refunds for counterfeit products.  Just saying.

All you need to do to stay cool in those "hot summer months" is pour some water on the suit.  It's not rocket surgery.  Even for me.

So they're a little "warm". Aren't you buying a drysuit to stay warm ?

Yes, should I go in the water.  Ambient air temp. and direct sunlight along with aggressive paddling/pedaling could make it too warm whilst sitting in the 'yak.  Hopefully it has good breath-ability so it won't be a problem.

I bought a drysuit to stay dry.  See other thread on same/similar subject - base layers to keep warm.

Also I will add that these guys have a pretty nice looking product and they have a US presence so if you have an issue you can actually hopefully talk to someone. They've been around a few years so aren't just a fly by night operation.

I have even gone so far as to contact some manufacturers in China to determine what sort of cost I am looking at to have a run of them made and shipped over here, the few that have replied back are all talking ~300-400 for a basic front entry model with relief zipper and all latex gaskets but with a minimum order of at least 100 units, If it was half that then I may have looked into a little further, but for that cost it's simply not worth it for a no name brand.

Uhm....I meant "warm" in the sense of "they fell off a truck". ie. Stolen. Purloined. Pinched.
