Well I have been suffering from a  flu that just won't give up.  It is not debilitating just a low grade fever, cough kind of thing, but it has been annoying and been around for a whole week.  So yesterday I decided to fight it off by getting some of the Vitamin D and fish oil from Lake Deveraeux which is just 15 minutes from my house.  There are kokanee in the lake and last year they were a respectable 11.5 inches.  Well this year they are somewhere around 8.5" inches.  As is usual the trout have been overstocked so they are hard to keep off the line in order to find the kokanee.  I did find just two little kokanee for the few hours that I was there.  I kept one cutthroat that was about 16 inches and had to keep two bleeders.   Trout fishermen are clearing out the stocked trout so that it gets more reasonable to fish there each time  I go out.  Best thing about this lake is the complete absence of gas motors.  No jet ski's , no booming music, in my mind at least, what lakes are supposed to be like.

Enjoy
