This past weekend on Saturday, April 30th, I was apart of a kayak bass fishing tournament. Prime conditions were set until the afternoon when the wind kicked up to 15-20mph winds.
Fishing overall was slow but I managed to get 4 key bites that put myself at the top of the leaderboard to take home big fish and first place as well.
Aaron Roberts is the one who put on the event with a turnout of 6 kayaks. Some people that were signed up already couldn't make it to various reasons, but overall the event was fun and I can't wait for the next one at the end of June.

Hey Nicholas! Congrats on the win!! You caught some nice fish that would have done well in a weight tourney too it looks like.

I was the guy who bought the outback from you and now have it all setup, rocking and rolling. What kayak did you end up with?

I'm just borrowing my buddies Native propel 13 for now. I'm absolutely loving this kayak. Very stable, doesn't take much energy with the pedal drive, and gets a pretty decent speed out of it as well.
Thanks guys for the congrats. I'll be going back this weekend I believe, and hopefully I can stay on the bite.
