Buy 'em separately or together (Perfect setups for salmon and rockfish/lingcod), these have all done me a great job over the years. I wash all gear right when I get out of the water and wear is good considering the use. I upgrade all reels with carbontex washers from Smooooth Drag, greased with Cal's Drag grease, and serviced annually.

Reels:
Avet SX 5.3 (lefty): $150
1 year old, serviced once and a compact little beast. Great condition.

Shimano Tekota 500 LC: $115
About 3 years old and has been a workhorse. Awesome salmon trolling combo on the G Loomis rod (below).

Shimano Moocher Plus 2000 GT: $95
Used just a handful of times in excellent condition. Perfect reel for any Canadian mooching rod setup.

Abu Garcia Revo Toro 61 (lefty): SOLD
About 5 years old and has seem some battles but has a ton left in her. She's in pretty good shape but does have the thumb bar problem that they do where it doesn't always pop back up when you crank the arm. With a touch of futzing it always pops back but could use the upgraded thumb bar part. Alan Tani in Cali can do the upgrade.

Shimano Tyrnos 12II(2-speed): SOLD
This has been used just a few times and is a beast. A largish reel that is fast but has the cranking power to bring up an anchor. Excellent condition. Just a few cosmetic scratches.

Rods:
G Loomis GL2 SAR 1084C 9':  SOLD
This rod, with the Tekota are a great combo and can do about any salmon trolling or down rigger fishing. Really great flex that will keep salmon on the hook. All the associated wear that you'd think (worn cork and missing butt cap) with a rod of this age (about 9 years) but still a nice one.

Shimano Convergence CVC-M106M-2A 10'6": $70
Perfect with the Shimano Moocher reel this rod has not been used. Would be perfect for salmon in the sound.

Shimano Trevala TVC66MH 6'6": $70
I've loved what this rod has done over the years and she's still got a lot left in her. About 6 years old but have taken great care w/ no rust on the guides. Last weekend I did bust off the hook keeper (DOH!) but the grip is great along with the reel seat.

I'll take the Tyrnos when your ready to get rid of it, if you're willing to ship it up to AK.
