Hi All,

I'm Tevo, and i'm new to kayak fishing. The wifey and a few bestfriends chipped in together and got me a Ocean Kayak Prowler 13.  I'm in my 30's and in the computer system industry in downtown seattle. I am also the family tech support guy, but we wont go down that dark hole! I'm located north of Seattle, WA and would like to start doing some sea bass/lings fishing around Edmonds or Mukilteo (so if anyone has any tips/tricks besides the obvious), it would be greatly appreciated.

Other than that, thank you for letting me join!

Tevo

Hi, Tevo, welcome!

You'll find a good number of north-end yakkers ready to go along...

Welcome to the plastic yacht club.  Live 5 minutes from Edmonds Fishing Pier which is a easy place to launch a kayak.  The park by Mukilteo/Clinton ferry  has boat launch that is easy to launch,  but they charge for parking.  No charge for kayaks if it is not towed by a trailer.  Picnic Point is nice, but a little ways from parking lot to the Sound which is have done many times.

No special tricks to catching fish out in the Sound as long as wind and waves are descent.   I have caught several pinks, silvers, and bottom fish and crabs.  I have cast using Buzz bombs,  trolled with flashers/coho killers, and jigged for all species of fish.  You just need to get out.  Read this forum making sure to read the safety stuff.  Be safe and hope to see you out in the water.  I will be in the yellow Hobie PA or TI.
