If you're talking about me, Rudy, my little chicken wasn't prize worthy. I'm just stoked that we had a good turnout, and a safe day on the water with a few good fish caught.

Wow...What a great time and great turn out!  A few years back, I was lucky to see 3 or 4 people Kayak fishing all YEAR!!!

Thanks to everyone for showing up.  Weather was marginal in the mid morning, but then settled back down.  No monsters but a bunch of solid fish.  For most of the day, just landing a fish was worth something 5 pounds or 50 pounds.

Congrats to FishonJohn (John Goulet) for the win!  Took the extra effort to Anchor and got the job done.  Must have been a struggle as his solid wooden handled harpoon was splintered up pretty well.

Here are a few of the photos.  I have more that I just dumped from DSLR at: https://picasaweb.google.com/110896815686143282688/6297779398877253697?authuser=0&authkey=Gv1sRgCJH0xqXj_feNMA&feat=directlink

The crew minus a half dozen or more folks who were busy or had to take off early.

John Goblet with the winning fish 54.4 pounds.  He took home the trophy and a $200 off Drysuit certificate and Free Shipping for any Hobie donated by Alaska Raft and Kayak.

Martin with the second place fish 32.8 pounds.  He won a Vibe 45qt cooler or merchandise of equal value ($199) from Alaska Outdoor Gear Outfitters.

Aaron (Yellow_Waterlog) third place with 27.8 pounds.  $100 gift Sportsman's Warehouse Certificate courtesy of Arctic Catering.

Bryan (Swanson Silver) with the 4th and 6th place fish 26.7 and 22 pounds.  He took home a Trevala XXH jig stick donated by B&J Sporting Good Store and a powerbox donated by AKRIDER.

I took 5th with 23.3 pounds and chose the hat from Wilderness Way.

My son Ryu in 7th place won a buff donated by Wilderness Way

Taylor in 8th place with a harpoon donated by RipnDrag.

Lynda in 9th place with a $100 gift certificate from Wilderness Way.

10th Place Ken (KWAKE) with a hat from Wilderness Way.

Dan with the special prize of immersion strobe for his classic water entry...and exit skills.  Donated By Mark Aka SaltykayAK

Rudy, I have your yard stick.

That's akslatykayAK (Mark's) ruler.  I need something like that so I can think about releasing a few of the bigger ones!

Once again a big thanks to you for getting the $100 Sportsman Warehouse gift certificate from Arctic Catering (http://www.arcticcatering.com)
Thanks!!!!!
