Official NWKA Alaska YAK Classic Weigh in Final Results and a few pics

ONLY POST ENTERED FISH HERE PLEASE.  I WILL START ANOTHER THREAD for the "Bragging Board."

Ok folks!  Weather looks good Saturday morning but is forecasted to deteriorate in the evening.  I will try and be on the beach no later than 4am and will make any call on whether the conditions are a "go" or not.  If you are out earlier (but hopefully not fishing for halibut), monitor the radio channel 69 which we will use if the weather seems marginal. 

There should be a measuring board and a weigh scale.  ALL fish must be measured for length. With two witnesses.   Length is from snout to middle of the tail.  We are going to try and go by weight but the length is the fall back decision criteria.  Mak has generously bought a scale and we will try and have a weigh station up.  This will also be a good check on the weight/length chart for the area.  So both length and weight...especially for contenders.

ok. derby is a go.  BUT forecast calls for winds to pick up late afternoon or evening.  excercise caution if you have thoughts of going far.
