Just something different I tried.  My truck came with a gopro mount so why not try it.  Time lapse set for every 30 seconds showing the drive from Anchorage to Kenai (via K beach road)

I guess I find it a little boring since I do this trip every weekend, but maybe some folks may find it interesting.

I do know folks from out of state always tell me to slow down so they can see the scenery.  But if you come to Alaska to fish with me, I am just going to blast down so here's a preview of the trip. lol.

If you have an iPhone you can do the same thing only with full video in time laps it took me 25 seconds from PC to Garibaldi. Cool video love the scenery. But hurry your ass up to go fishing ;)

Nice scenery! But why do you mount your kayak stern first on the roof of your vehicle?  Seems like bad aesthetics and/or bad karma.

Because I lower the back first onto the ground when I am unloading so I don't want to rest the rudder on the ground while I am unloading the front half.  Function over form...lol.

I expected all that beautiful scenery. But am a bit surprised at the volume of traffic. Do you think it's gotten a lot worse in recent years?

Yes...but they have made the highway a bit easier with passing lanes.  This was Friday morning.  I thought the traffic was super light, lol.

... and I thought it might have to do with the aerodynamics of the rudder...   ::)
