They had a booth at the Portland Sportsman show this year and I talked to the guy, don't know if he was the inventor but was friendly and very interested in how I was using it while kayaking.  Might be worth reaching out to them again.

+1

I like the Boomerang, but I could see that having a Linecutterz attached to a PFD - like you do it - could be handy in some situations.  It seems to me that I wouldn't want to use a ring cutter to trim terminal knots.  I don't want hooks or lures dangling around that close to me (or my PFD) when pushing or pulling a line through the cutter.

Twelve bucks for something I think I'd only use occasionally, or that might end up in the box with all my other "That Didn't Quite Work Out" paraphernalia isn't grabbing my interest.  But a freebie?  Sure.

The fish bite twice a day - just before we get here and right after we leave.

I think I just paid $11.99 at Fish Fields today for a replacement Boomarang.  My previous one was getting a bit weak and just shaved on the braid.  It would eventually chew through it, but it wasn't pretty.  Mono was fine.
I believe it is close to 2 years old with zillions of cuts in braid and mono.

Hate to bump up old threads, but also hate to create new when there's great content already available... Just FYI the boomerang cutters are the "Deal of the week" at fisherman's stores $8.49 is a killer price for these guys.
