Wife and I had a blast fishing Seward last weekend and are heading up to Denali Highway for 4th of July weekend (we don't dare go to the Peninsula on a holiday weekend).  Anyone fished up there much?  We've hunted quite a bit there but never fished.  We were hoping to camp by one of the lakes.  Thanks.

Tangle lakes near paxton and pretty much any water large enough to hold a fish is good.  I was just up there last week and the grayling fishing is really good. But if you take your yak tangle lakes is awesome.  Just make sure you take some insect repellant, the bugs up there are abnoxious and never give up.  If you have any other questions let me know.

I practically grew up around there with all the hunting I did there as a kid. The grayling are awesome around Tangle, not many other places that are really Hobie accessible unless you're using inflatables and packing them out. We used to fly fish the drainage and catch breakfast, I had no idea what I was doing and still caught them quickly in my youth. I'd bring a head net though, deet isn't enough. The mosquitoes are horrendous.
