Angler West TV on YouTube just released a new video about fishing Pacific City with dory guide Josh Putman, Phil Pirone of Pro-Cure and Haibin Wang of Fish Field.

It's a great video for those that got a captain's bag at the ORC this year.  You can some of the baits from Fish-Field and scents from Pro-Cure in action.

That was a great lunch time watch, thanks. So was that a yellow tail rockfish they caught? I don't think I've ever caught one of those out there before.

Yellowtail rockfish are fairly common in large schools farther off shore.  I've caught them closer to shore in Northern California, but they weren't very common even down there.

Yellow tail RF are some of the best tasting Rock fish out there.  Unfortunately they are out deeper out of normal kayak bottom fishing range.  Halibut fisherman get them quite often.  We got a couple on a charter boat last summer at about 140 fow.
