I am looking for someone planning to get a new Hobie but doesn't need the reverse capability that comes standard on 2017 Hobies.

I do lots of my fishing around reefs, submerged rock walls, and nasty concrete bridge pilings.  A new Mirage Drive 180 is something I would like to get as soon as Hobie starts shipping them, which will be with new 2017 boats later this year:

"The MirageDrive 180 will be standard with all 2017 model year Mirage kayaks, including the legendary Outback and award-winning Pro Anglers. 2017 model year kayaks are slated to begin shipping in October 2016. The MirageDrive 180 is retrofitable to existing MirageDrive kayaks and is expected to be available as a stand-alone accessory by mid-year 2017."

I have two V2 drives and a GT drive, I sure don't need a fourth drive... ;D  my current drives, left to right in the image are:
V2 from our 2012 Oasis, blue ST fins that have never been in the water (came on my i11s GT drive)
V2 from a 2012 PA12, well used Turbo fins and solid aluminum pedal arms.
GT that came with my 2016 i11s, red turbo fins, I have been using this drive since March, 2016.

What I am hoping to find is someone that would like to order up a 2017 Hobie, take delivery this fall and then trade the 180 drive that it comes with for my almost new GT drive that has been upgraded with Turbo fins plus I hand over $450 cash.  Since Hobie has indicated a $150 price increase for 2017 boats ($300 for tandems), the $450 means you will be getting a 2017 boat and almost brand new 2016 GT drive for $300 less than if you ordered a 2016 boat to avoid the $150 price increase for reverse...

I'm located near Eugene and have family in Redmond and Federal Way, so I'll be able to meet up and do the swap basically anywhere in OR or WA, probably right when the new boat comes in.  My GT drive is in perfect condition and I am going back to using my old faithful PA12 drive as of right now, so no additional hours will be put on the GT drive...

cheers, roger
