Made this tackle box tray for the 8" access hatch on my Revo.  Holds 3 Plano 3500 tackle boxes.  Made a cardboard pattern, found some scrap aluminum at work, cut out from pattern and had a colleague bend it up for me.  Tested only once so far, I like it.

That is brilliant. I have the deep box and about 20 zip lock bags to do the same. Your setup is better.

Brilliant idea. What were the dimensions of the pattern? I could model one up in a CAD program and post the bend lines for folks. Or, you should just start making them and sell me one. ;D  This is why I need a 3D printer with a large volume.

I thought of modeling this in 3D but the cardboard template ended up being good enough, see picture. Pattern is about 14"x 14.5".  It is made from one piece but requires a special metal bending machine, with experienced operator, for some of the bends. Designing this for 3D printing would be ok but, unless you had your own printer, would cost over $200.
