I finally had luck smile my way. Fished 5 or 6 hours yesterday and had two bites, but no hookups. Went out at about 11:30 today (slept in and relaxed). Fished about an hour with nothing, then had three fish on and two to the boat in about 45 minutes. The first was really small, but I kept it because it was the first fish to the boat. The second was a nice one, probably around 12, maybe 14 pounds. Will try again for a couple hours in the morning. Checkout from the campground is at noon.

Some great results. Especially GravesJacob fishing deep and of course easyyakker fish.  I'm too lazy, lol.  only small ones for us yesterday. Ryu kept one..

A one minute video of the small fish I released just to document I didn't get skunked...lol.

I ended up with 43 new gopro videos this weekend king bite was extra hot If you could get down to where they were.... so here is my rundown on what I saw .. Friday I got to homer around 2 lines in about 3:30, immediately started seeing fish fairly shallow suspended over 60 ft of water. I started out with herring and the first fish was the biggest of the whole weekend (close to 20 pounds), caught a couple shakers and the I picked up another fish around 15 pounds on a coho killer. Saturday got in the water around 9, started out shallow and picked up a couple then the shallow bite died.... moved out to deeper water and there was fish everywhere 90% of the fish came from having the downrigger set at 70 to 100 feet. Most all of my fish came from running herring or a black and white coho killer, lawngjohn was doing some pretty heavy work with a spoon. .....This stayed consistent all the way through today same results fish were deep I do think the better fish came from shallow water ..who knows.. I do know for sure that there is thousands of them in the 2 to 4 pound range

I hope to see you all down there Saturday or Sunday. Don't think I can do both. I'm hoping my downrigger comes tomorrow so I can get in on the deep bite.
