First post from a long time lurker.  I brought an Outback and Oasis up to Portland from San Diego with me after Navy retirement.  No fishing from them yet. Hope to get some fall salmon fishing in this year before duck season.

Is there a listing of group events on the forum somewhere?

I'd like to get with others my first time out up here.  I've fished off shore in San Diego in my kayak but I'm respectful of the Columbia and the bays.  I'd like to not kill myself the first time out up here.

Not group events but after you have posted a few more times and more posts are opened up to you... Keep looking for open invites and the Tillamook bay is a good starter just drop in 2 hours before low tide and you won't get flushed to China. Post up intent or pm me and if I'm available I'll go fishing.

My wife and I have been to Netarts and hope to make it to Tillamook soon.  Hope to see you out there some time.  Thanks for the introduction.
