Cape Mears Lake Wednesday or Thursday open invite

My son wants to get in a day of fishing Wednesday or Thursday and since there stocking it with lunkers, I figured I better get in a pre event fishing day in. Either day works for us so oust up what day works fir anyone wanting to join.

Is that a freshwater lake off Tillamook Bay? 
What fish species is it stocked with (I need some AOTY points for sure)? 
Where do you park/launch (I might join).

 

Fresh lake , trout, shows bass and sunfish with low catch rates. Map of the lake and road shoulder parking.

Ya we will unload the trailers and move the rigs up the road a little ways.

We're thinking Wednesday might be our day

Not gonna make it...too much other stuff going on

My kid us a night cook at a bar in Seaside so we got a late start after stopping by the sporting goods store, 11:30ish. Got on the water and fought some good size weed patches to get to the area I was informed holds fish. Well since repairing two SLA batteries with broken positive terminals (whole notha post  ) we were indeed marking fish. After a few drift hookups it got a little windy so we anchored in the middle of the hole and proceeded to C&R trout left and right ( left side for me right side for my son) I released 8 he released 2 and kept 5 that were bleeding. We only fished about an hour and half to two hours. It was nice hanging with my kid for the day knowing the bankies were lucky to hit two fish to our 15     He had a blast and is looking for a boat to call his own.

IF you were pulling fish that size out of the lake, it should be a good day on the 1st.  Nice job Mojo.  And congratulations on showing the whippersnapper how it's done!
