Hey guys, just got hooked up with a prowler Big Game 2. I want to hunt ducks with it this year, does anyone have any ideas for mounting a shotgun safely? I was hoping to rig up some gun mounts to a gear Trac but I'm not sure that's feasible. Any ideas or suggestions are welcomed.

Additionally I live in the south sound/hood canal area and I'm looking for more areas to hunt. I'm not looking for honey holes. Just looking for areas with birds

Thanks
-Nick

I've heard good things from around the Skok, but have never hunted it personally. I know there's lots of small water on the Kitsap Peninsula open to waterfowl as well.

As for gun mounts:
I keep my gun in a floating case until I'm in place, deeks out, and settled in to hunt. If you plan to shoot in waters deeper than 36" or so, I'd consider rigging a tether to aft sling post on your stock.

If you're gonna shoot from the Yak, make sure you don't aim more than a few degrees off center line. Particularly to your strong side.
