I've utterly failed at finding a Trident 11 in Oregon so I'm open to suggestions.

I'm going to send my Tarpon 100 to my kids up in Salem, and want a replacement for the little rivers and lakes down here. Longer than 10 feet, but no longer than 12 feet.

Up to 12 feet, I can toss it in the back of the truck and go.  Longer than 12 feet, and I have to remove the bed extender, install the ladder rack, hoist it up and strap it down...

So go ahead, please, let me know about less-than-12-foot kayaks so I can go shopping.

if you are looking for a new boat,   Austin Kayaks has the Trident 11 and ships for free, based on looking at their website.   currently offering 20% off accessories with kayak purchase.   guess I sound like  a commercial....

Well, yes, indeed you're sounding just a bit like an infomercial, except ACK doesn't ship kayaks for free (but their shipping costs are reasonable).  I like to support local businesses until I run out of options.

A new boat is fine, it's not a budget thing, but shorter boats are apparently not so popular in Oregon (or Washington) unless you're shopping at Wally World.

Thanks!  I have ACK bookmarked.

I think you better go to their website and add a Trident 11 to the Cart.   Then go to checkout.   The purchase qualifies for free ground shipping.

I'm sorry, you are correct - free ground shipping.  If I don't find one locally - up here in the NW - I have them bookmarked.

Thank you,  Yes, they've shipped one to me, too, four years ago.  It cost $60, and took about three weeks.  That's why I didn't look to see FREE SHIPPING on the Trident.

Thanks.  Glad to know they've improved their shipping speed, too.

Revo 11 is pretty nice.  Much lighter than the revo13.  versatile enough that you can go in skinny waters and just use the paddle, or use the mirage drive.  Decent capacity and stability for a quality SOT.

Thank you.  I've been thinking about it, but more about a Quest 11 because I don't need the Mirage drive the way I use the small kayak.  Now if I can find one without the Vantage seat...

Thanks, but I must, regretfully, decline.  I like roger's reports, and they're neat boats, but it still has the Mirage drive.

Thank you, that's a very kind offer.  Does it include a guided fishing trip?  I need more species for AOTY...

I'm sure we could come up with a small mouth bass pretty easily. It's the low hanging fruit of AOTY around here.
