Hi folks. Trolled Lake Coeur d’ Alene twice in the last week. Put in at Higgens boat launch. The north east end of the lake has a hot Kokanee bite going right now. People are limiting out in short time. The schools were filling my ff screen and I hardly got my lure down to depth when there was another. Marking fish at 35-50ft all over 100ft of water. Stopped at nine in the boat, lost 6 winding in. Same both days. Flatlining a pink wedding ring and pink corn behind a pink and chrome #4 dodger with 3oz cannon ball to get to 35ft. I was also trying out my outback installed with new outriggers and sail at the same time so focus on the fishing was a bit compromised but it was a great couple of days on the water. I do think though that my sailing days and fishing days will be separate from now on. Easier to enjoy them both separately than together.

What kind of fish? I assume trout or something similar? (There's a lot of types of fish in that lake as I understand it.)

Oops, missed that out, duh. It was past my bed time. Haha. Sorry folks. I was referring to the Kokanee. They are only 10" max but I live close to the lake. So convenient and tasty none the less.
I was on the lake today also. Put in at Carlin Bay, fishing for Chinook, got skunked but a beautiful 4hours on the water trying out my newly installed downrigger. I procrastinated on spooling with Spectra. Spent 4 hours regretting it. Hummmm.  :banjo:
