Any Clue where I can load my kayak, fish for: halibut, salmon And etc..first time..reply appreciate!!!

There is a boat ramp if you take the road thru Whittier and past the cannery. I launched from there 2 summers ago. As far as where the fish are, i haven't had any success in Whittier.
