I just signed up to help. I might just stay onshore. But also haven't caught or helped catch a fish for way too long
Do you guys need any extra yaks  ? I can bring a couple if it will help. How about poles and other gear ?
I might have 1 or 2 poles and other gear if you  need some . Just let me know, okay ?
Might be a bit late--- but I'll still help out where I can.
You can help out where ever you feel comfortable.   We need onshore folks as well as on the water.
I don't think we will need any extra yaks but if you want to bring them it's up to you.  Fishing gear is a little easier to pack so you might want to bring a couple rods.  We have our own plus what Anthony has.  I also plan on bringing a few extra for others to use from shore if they want to wet a line.  Powerbait and maybe some worms might not be a bad idea either.  I've never fished Coffenbury yet so I'm not sure what will work and what wont.  Typically  for stockers though Powerbait is a pretty safe bet.

Coffenbury is pretty shallow - 10' max ? It weeds up real good in the summer, dunno about the winter. I'll bring a few rooster tails and spin/troll them shallow, and also dropshot under a float with powerbait, worms, or marshmallows. That way you can get lower in the water but still keep it above any vegetation on the bottom.

Never fished it but that was exactly my plan from looking at the satellite and topo imagery.  This time of year should be (mostly) free of weeds.  Anyone know if there's bass in there or just stock trout?  ODFW schedule says it's stocked that week, hopefully Monday not Friday. :)

Kayaking without wearing a PFD is like drunk driving.  You can get away with it for a while, but eventually someone dies.

I read that one or two  pautzke eggs on a dropper hook fished near the bottom can be an effective technique at coffenberry.

We still have a few seats open if anyone knows a vet wanting to go. Dress for rain if the extended forecast holds. Looking forward to a great day rain or no rain.

Ok we will be at the south picnic area there is NOT a boat ramp but there is a dock so we will wheel the kayaks to the water. The covered pavilion is ok to use as long as someone doesn't rent it before hand. We will see if we can put up signs with arrows but no promises, there is an information booth if you get lost.

On to the late check out, if you are checking out on Thursday pm or text me your cabin/yurt/tent space #'s and the name it is reserved under and I'll let the park manager know, STILL TELL THE CHECK IN DESK if there open, they will let us check out after 3

Some pics of the area courtesy of Mojo's recon earlier.

Where shelter C is located at.  It's a great looking spot.
Thanks for the recon trip Mojo.

Can we park right at Coffenberry lake?
Is there an additional parking fee?

Your camp pass is for parking and you might want to bring your car long hike pulling a yak on wheels.  There's a parking lot where we will be.

It is currently flooded over there all the way into the grass and with the forecast I didn't forsee it drying out any before next week.  It would be a muddy mess.

Anyone know if there's good fishing off the jetty or beach around there?  We're saying a couple of days so looking for other opportunities after the event.  Bass around there anywhere?
