Welcome!

It has been a tough few months with the weather returning to normal Alaska winter conditions.  But I know Kathleen got a couple of Kings in early January off of Homer!

We should have a few folks fishing the Homer Winter King Derby.  You have to be ready to go by early May though.  Some of the best fishing of the year for quality feeder kings and big shallow water halibut.

I started here and am thankful that I got a lot of the advice early as Alaska's waters tend to be very unforgiving of rookie mistakes!

Welcome!  you are going to love it!!!

Welcome! Quite a few of us Alaskans live in and around Anchorage. Keep an eye on the Alaska subforum, most of us post when we're going to be fishing and don't mind having extra partners on the water.
