Does anyone know the difference between the sport troll and lake troll.  It seems like the same except the sport troll is discontinued.

Are you talking downrigger models by Canon?  Or is this some kind of tackle related equipment (Kokanee fishing uses lake trolls as attractors for your lure when long lining)?

Scotty makes a small Laketroller downrigger, and Cannon makes a larger Lake-Troll downrigger, which can be confusing. I haven't seen a Cannon Sport Troll, a discontinued model which looks similar the current Cannon Lake-Troll, but Wobbler may be able to tell you something about the Sport Troll downrigger.  A couple of years ago he was trying to sell a couple of Sport Trolls; see http://www.northwestkayakanglers.com/index.php?topic=12459.msg137695#msg137695 .

Downriggers
Looked up the sport troll and best I could find is a parts list.  Appears to have a clutch and polymer boom similar to the lake troll.  Based on pictures it looks very similar to the lake troll
