My name is Rob, I have viewed the site for a while, but just bought a Hobie 17t and thought it was time. I live in Marysville Wa. I was the owner of a nucanoe 12, but sold it and bought the Hobie in hopes of expanding my opportunities. I have a lot to learn, but look forward to getting started. I hope to do more salt water trips this year. very glad to be here.

Welcome Rob!  You must be one Herculean dude...how on earth are you going to load and unload a 206.5 lb kayak (dry hull weight)?  I'd never heard of the 17t so just looked it up.

Hello, Rob.  You've been around a while, huh?

Your Hobie 17t may redefine the "supertanker" category for big, heavy kayaks!  Not teasing you or giving you grief, just surprised that I, too, had never heard of it, and that it's that big.  Heck of a fishing platform, I bet.

Do you have immersion gear for ocean fishing yet?  Have you practiced self-rescue and rolling it right-side up in deep water?

Glad you started talking to us!
The fish bite twice a day - just before we get here and right after we leave.
