HOW event April 23rd Sunday Town Lake (Pacific City)

Ok folks we're planning the second HOW NOC 8 vet outing for Sunday April 23rd at Town Lake in PC there isn't much in the way of parking so I'm going to see about getting us a staging area within a few miles that is secure ( if anyone has friends in the area let us know) it has a gravel ramp so we can back down drop gear and then park and shuttle (if someone has a passenger van that would be ideal) more details to come and this is an ODFW stocked lake.

Parking is solved, we will be parking between Nustucca Adventures and the restaurant next door. If you need any Hobie goodies give him a call and get them in stock before hand. 

Ok guys let's get our volunteers list going, looking like we may do a chili dog hot lunch lake side.

Since Ray and Jake are out this event we could use another volunteer from the PDX area to help haul the Portland Chapter gear for us.

Should be a great day on the water.  Donating a carved bone fish hook pendant for the largest trout caught. From Cannon Beach Arts.

And since he might not be into promoting himself ...I'll do it for him. These things are a real beautiful piece of artwork that make a great gift.

Ray just dropped off 48 hotdogs, buns, and the chili. We have some veteran seats available still so get the word out to anyone that would like to come, we could use a few more volunteers besides SamM and myself. So post up if you can make it, looks like few am showers with afternoon clearing on the extended forecast.

So the Bayfront Bakery and Deli in Garibaldi is donating 2 dozen doughnuts for our morning snack, let me tell you there doughnuts are good I can't buy more than one or I get in big trouble cuz I can't stop eating them.

Well we have two volunteers and one veteran but unfortunately he's in the hospital and likely won't make it. I left lingbanger a voice mail to see if he could email his contacts to see if they wanted to fill our seats. I have two on the fence that won't commit and if we don't get a turnout will have to cancel, but I'll fish it anyway. I have 3 boats and gear to put them on the water so if we just get 2-3 I'll make it happen.

You're doing a great job getting events organized for the NOC chapter. Soon, the weather will improve and maybe you'll see an increase in participants.

We also have a firefighter from Depoe Bay joining us with a plus 3 wife and daughter, se we will need to get a few more volunteers on board for this event. And if need be we will count Drifter2007 as a participant/volunteer
