Took one of my new Lexa Line Counters out to test it on some dinos and I'm VERY happy with the way this thing handles fish! Fits great in the hand and is smoooooth!  Springers don't stand a chance against this reel.  ;D

Also, the new reverse Mirage drive provides a whole new dimension for fighting big fish!

Slightly off topic, but I noticed the way you had your leash hooked to your rod down low.  Did you just zip tie a key ring down?  Does it fit in your rod holder well like that?

I have had my eye on this reel for a while now. Did not know there was a line counter coming out. I already have a saltist lever drag for sturgeon and bottom fish do you recommend the power handle for salmon?  Or will the paddle handle with the 6 to 1 suffice on big Tillamook chinook.

Thanks for the video - that reel's been a bit of a mystery for a while.  And it looks like you had a good day, too.
The fish bite twice a day - just before we get here and right after we leave.

Yup.  I actually get brass rings from the hardware store for those.  Most are just ziptied on, some I've attached with velcro straps, which works really well, and some I've attached with bungee chord. It fits in the trolling rod holder perfectly since I use a quick-release style, the Scotty Orca.

I haven't fished both of them enough to know which I'll like better for salmon but I tend to like power handles a lot better than paddle handles so I'll probably end up using the 5.5 more.  That's the one I'd probably lean towards if you were planning on doing most of your salmon fishing for the Tillamook brutes.

Nice, thanks for sharing Jeff.  I really like the size/feel of this real and looking forward to not catching any springers with it!
