Welcome Jimbob!  Glad you decided to come back.

Perseverance & resilience are great qualities to look for in a fishing wing man. Welcome back JimBob.

Welcome back.  Check out Heroes on the Water if you'd like to meet some Veterans that like to fish from kayaks.  It's a good way to get involved with the community and catch Halibut bait.

welcome 'back' to NWKA!

my advice, for what it's worth-  unless you are already experienced at fishing the ocean from a kayak, take some trips over and do some bottom fishing, get used to putting rocks and lings on the boat during favorable ocean conditions....cheers, roger

I've been yak fishing the ocean for a long time & haven't yet intentionally targeted hali
(haven't landed one yet either). I think I hooked one off Shelter Cove a few years back. Whatever it was took me for a ride, then settled on the bottom. I tried for about 10 minutes to pull it off the bottom, which resulted in pulling the hook out of it's mouth. It may go without saying, but when making a surf exit, make sure all your gear & catch are well secured before reaching the surf zone. Don't ask me how I know.  :o
