Something different - Red fish fishing in Louisiana

This might not be the appropriate place to post this. I just had a great kayak, red fish trip with Josh at Wild Louisiana Tours. http://www.wildlouisianatours.com/ Josh was on the Peninsula last year and kayak fished out of Homer and Whiskey Gulch. This was a whole different kind of kayak fishing. There is something to be said for fishing in shorts and t-shirt, and noticing how warm the water is when it drips off your paddle across your legs.

I'll post a picture or two when I get them from Josh.

This was a vacation day before my conference starts tomorrow.

The Gulf of Mexico is where I started kayak fishing, so I know the feeling.

Sight fishing those things is about as much fun as you can have in a swamp.

That sounds awesome man! My buddy in Texas has been sending me photos of reds and making me wanna go down there for a trip.

I just moved back to Alaska from Louisiana where I did some kayak fishing on Sabine and Calcasieu Lakes as well as off the beach.

That does sound awesome. Great plan to add some fishing to a conference. I should start doing that.
