Camano Island Flounder 4/3

I spent most of the day Monday fishing out of Elger bay off Camano island.  Tried mooching for Blackmouth for a few hours, but had no luck, and my fish finder died so I switched over to Flounder. I caught 15-20 by backtrolling with squid over the course of 3 hours, and brought 4 of them home for beer battered fish & chips. Very few boats out. I spotted a few grey whales, and a bunch of porpoise, so it was a great day overall. I did see one blackmouth caught out of a pb, looks like it was in the 10lb range.

Mmmmm tasty lookin' fish there!  Bummer about your FF but a nice day out for sure...

Cool! I know that flounder aren't the most desirable quarry for most anglers but I'm jealous that they're so available for you guys up there. Great backup fish.

That and good practice for how to fillet a halibut before you have one on hand.  You can fillet them exactly the same way, just at 1/20th the size.  Flounder filleted that way also wind up about perfect fish-n-chip or taco size cuts.
