The kayak guide died in Yellowstone Lake trying an assisted rescue of a client who'd ended up in the water.  Ling ling, Herro? was in a similar situation not long ago.

Not a lot to go on as to what actually happened up there in Yellowstone, but it is a stiff reminder that kayaking only really safe as long as you stay out of the water.

Many bad things can go wrong very quickly for both the person being rescued and the person(s) helping depending on several circumstances.

Keeping calm in emergency situations will go really far for clear thinking, communication and survival.

RIP young guide.
