Hello, my name is Ray and I have an addiction.

Yep, I just bought another kayak.  I had purchased a 2013 Outfitter from a guy in Vancouver in hopes of using it with my son.  Well if any of you have seen me you know I'm not the most "in shape" person (although "round" is a shape ) and with me, my son, and 2 Mirage drives, a bunch of tackle, and various other things we were pushing the 425 lb carrying limit of the Outfitter.  I had originally planned on getting an Oasis but you just can't find them on Craigslist, although the Outfitters are pretty common.  So I ended up getting an Outfitter.  After having to beach the kayak at the TBKD to remove water from in the hull (because we sat so low in the water it was coming in around the round hatch in front of me.  I actually had baby perch swimming around the footwell area there was so much water in the boat) I decided to continue looking for an Oasis.  I had called Waxer's in Coos Bay a few months back and they had a 2015 demo boat that they were willing to sell me but the thought of driving 3-4 hrs each way to get it didn't appeal to me so I didn't get it.  I didn't notice their ad on Craigslist anymore so I figured it was gone by now (they quoted me a great price for it by the way just not good enough for the drive) so on a whim I contacted Kayak Shed and asked if they had an Oasis for sale (on the cheap since I just bought an Outfitter) and he said he had a 2016 demo that he might be convinced to sell.  Well, long story short, John made me an offer that I couldn't refuse and I'm now the proud owner of a new (to me) Oasis.  The only downfall is it isn't "Yum-Yum" yellow like the rest of my fleet.
So, who wants to go fishing?

Congratulations on the new baby!

I started the opposite way - I bought an yummy yellow Oasis, followed by a sexy sand Revo, which led to a ravishing red Revo. Can't have too many, can you?

That Oasis will handle 450lbs plus, easy. I know mine has seen that much weight and more...

Time to start using birth control on your kayaks.  I told you clearly in the beginning that they breed like rabbits.   ;D

Yeah, I need to keep them separated.  I can't tell the boys from the girls though. 😂

Keep them together.  I need some more, and I am willing to adopt. :)
Kayaking without wearing a PFD is like drunk driving.  You can get away with it for a while, but eventually someone dies.
