Rats!!  Area 11 has wonderful winter crab, wonder why they left us out???

Anybody know of decent spot in area 13??  It never closes, I was told.

Z - I didn't see crab on the list of AOTY species. Am I missing a something here?   ???

I use to live near Johnson Pt., but never found good crabbing in the S Sound.

Maybe Z is thinking WAF and texting AOTY?

Did a little crabbing on Saturday in area 6. Windy as a mother, and un-seasonaly warm, about 62-65. Little slow just got 2. Ok for starts I guess. Funny thing the park ranger approached me and asked me what I was doing, "uh crabbing" I said.
He says unless something has changed the season is closed. I got a little nervous for a second, just a second. Not because I thought I was in the wrong, but because I know if he wanted to be difficult they can give you a ticket that you woud have to deal with.
I told him that the season opened today for the winter. He looks at me and says,
"damn they never tell us anything". So I told him the run of the season. And he wished us well and left. I have to say that is a little strange, no inter-agency dialog. I did tell him to sign up for the instant email updates from the wdfg. OH well.
I am digging the 7 days a week thing. Now I can take the little gal out during the day.

Nice one FC. Good deal on the ranger. I love it when they're cordial. Insane about not knowing the regs though huh? :confused4:
