Ok, here's my question.

I have had a OK Trident 13 since they first came out in 2008.  I used it regularly until 2010 when I picked up my first Hobie (Revo), at which point I made and have used a scupper cart for the Hobie.  This works phenomenally for launching off damn near any beach, ramp or lake side entry I've ever encountered.

My Trident was launched primarily into Hagg lake without the use of any cart as I just carried it over my head and dropped it on the grass, sand/gravel or boat launch and back afterward.  I used my folding Wheeleez cart for soft sand beaches on the few occasions needed then, otherwise at PC I just dropped it off a the water line, dumped all my gear on it and parked the truck.

Fast forward to now.... I have restrung all the bungees and replaced the toggles and side handles bringing it up to nearly new like condition with the intent of doing some ocean fishing with it later this summer.  I'll be using the folding Wheeleez cart again for the beach, but for the life of me I can't remember what I did the few times I took it to Depoe Bay back in the day.  I don't remember carrying to the boat launch, nor did I use my folding cart (I really don't).  Maybe I dropped it off at the top of the launch?

Those that are using these NON scupper carts to come off the water at launches like Depoe Bay, how the hell are you doing it?
Just carrying everything up the ramp and dealing with it at the top flat area to the side, or am I missing a valuable option?

I'm considering building a PVC scupper cart for it to use at ramps like that as I am so used to this option for my Hobies.

We levitate them, INSAYN.  And for those who don't have the ability, they use their transporters.  Didn't you get yours in the mail?

When I have a ramp and the room to do it, I drive to the water, unload and set up, then park, and do the same thing in reverse when I land.  If I don't have room or time to do that, I cart it down, rigged and ready.

I have a NON-scupper cart and I do something similar to what you do with the scupper cart when I beach: I put it on while the kayak (either the Revo or the Trident) is still in the water, albeit in water more shallow than you'd use for the scupper cart.  It's a lot easier to get the cart in just the right position when the kayak is floating than to hope it lands properly on the cart when I can't see what I'm aiming-for.

I wish I could find your post about your scupper cart again.  Since I stopped loading a crate in the rear tankwell (is that redundant?) I'd think I'd like to build one.  I have no experience with scupper carts, but it seems to me that a home-made PVC cart would be much less likely to damage the scuppers than a one-size-fits-all metal cart.

The fish bite twice a day - just before we get here and right after we leave.
