HI all -

*** KAYAK is SOLD ***

If I haven't been down to fish as much as I'd like lately, well, it because I am prepping for a move.   To Geoji South Korea.   That is if the politicians and despotic dictators don't mess up the whole deal... long story, but:

I am selling my Red Hobie Outback.   12' in length of course, equipped with sailing rudder, turbo fins, scotty rod holder, Lawrence Elite 4 HDI fish finder.  I will also include a really nice waterproof power-box that mounts under the front hatch to power the FF, with 12v accessory sockets tucked away inside.   If you need one, I could include a net and possibly a PFD.   Kayak is in great shape.

Looking for $2000, or reasonably close offer.

I also have a Kokatat goretex dry suit (full immersion, with neck and wrist gaskets in great shape).  I bought the goretex suit in 2014, used it about 5 times before I realized I needed a bit more space inside for layers, and bought an XL that I have used since.   Looking for $600 / offer on the suit.

IF any of you have experience fishing the Sea of Japan or Japanese or Korean near-shore waters... shoot me a PM I need all the advice I can get!

Don't forget your lead lined underwear....😎

Can't speak towards the ocean side of fishing there but  search the,web for a blog called " cherry trout" . Its written by a guy who's been fly fishing for the tiny native trout of the korean peninsula using a 2 weight rod. ( didn't know they made those)

Have fun, there's a lot to see and do there.
As of July 12th, I am, officially,  retired.

They make 0wt fly rods.  They're quite popular.
The fish bite twice a day - just before we get here and right after we leave.

LOL - Lead lined undies are not flotation approved... besides I am past my breeding prime and I already glow in the dark after years working x-ray equipment.    I'll search for that blog and see what I see, I may have a 4 wt rod around somewhere....

Just thought of something else : check www.washingtonflyfishing.com for more resources on cherry trout and other opportunities there. That group, like this one, covers the world with their adventures and misadventures.  Ask Jerry Daschofsky or Anil for help if you need it once you get there
