(Report) Wheeler salmon trolling Thursday 8/31

Looking like Thursday might be a good day to hit the big blue if the forecast holds. Might be dragging Art out there as well.

As the chapter event coordinator you have my permission but don't call me she! 

If the conditions hold, and work doesn't get in the way, I will be there early with crab pots in tow.  Probably my last rockfish and crab run before switching over to salmon.

Ok today didn't work, tomorrow don't look good so plan D: im launching out of Wheeler tomorrow around sunrise and salmon trolling.... and that's final!

As it states ocean not looking friendly so salmon trolling the Nehalem I'll be pulling in around 0600 solo (my kid don't have a salmon tag.

Got in 3 hours of exercise drowning two herring, launch shortly after first light behind 3 pb's that launched with lights on. Had about a dozen trolling the wheeler hole before the wind picked up and I bugged out. There was at least a dozen boats headed out to the jetty.
