That was also my thought: at $200 worth a shot. Reviews of the Hook2 are so-so with apparently quite a few lemons on the market and frustrated buyers. Many others are very positive about the unit though. Time will show.

Not mine, and I really want it mostly for the reel alone, but the wife would be QUITE unhappy if I got another rig:

Assuming it's in good condition the price is like buying the rod and getting the reel for free.

Buy it and sell the rod, I am guessing you could mostly pay for the reel in selling the rod.

I think the price is too good.  Wonder if it's hot.

One 240cm paddle left on Amazon.

I was so close to clicking the "Buy" button, but I really don't need it.  Maybe another 10% off coupon too.

Very tempting as I have been rocking a cheapy fred meyer paddle since my hobie paddle broke many moons ago. Does your still show the 10% off? When I click it does not... That could push me over the edge.

Not the right thread for this, but I didn't want to start a separate one. This trailer (not mine) shows some promise. You could probably ditch the winch and put a gear box up there. Add some j-cradles and it might haul two yaks.

Anyone want to build a rod?  You don't see discounts on blanks often.  Lamiglas has a 30% off sale on blanks and clothes.  Free ship $100+.
