25% off everything at Dick's Sporting Goods through 11/27... Just picked up two reels (Daiwa Procyon 2500 and Lew's Tournament MP speed spool bait caster) two spools of power pro, and a soccer ball for good measure.

I picked up a couple of the coldwater 450's low profile reels.  Nice price on the reels but you need to order them directly from Okuma in California.  There is a $15 "shipping" charge per reel.

Do you have a link. I am having trouble finding it online

Usually Bi mart carries these reels during black friday and they have everything right around 25-30% off. I bought mine 2 years ago new for $70. It's a great reel but I wouldn't pay 90 for one.

I have bought the 300 series at that price several times but not the 400 series.  I want a larger reel for tuna or fishing the rockpile where I have 150 ft of line out at some times with 20 oz of lead. The 300 series only hold about  400ft of 65 lb braid.

Yeah the 400 doesn’t come down that low from what I have seen.  Curious if it is being discontinued or maybe just updated?  I would be curious how it would handle a tuna.  The ifish crowd doesn’t seem to think you should have a level wind but that’s usually in the context of a big round reel. I feel the narrow and low profile reels are a bit different. Plus a lot harder to get your hand caught.

Okuma also having close out deals on braided line. 5 bucks for 150 yards and 8.75 for 300 yard.

It’s not ideal but I know a 300 series has handled a tuna

Nice tuna!

It's very easy to remove the line guide from any of the levelwind baitcaster style reels for use with larger explosive gamefish like tuna.  Very easy to train a thumb as long as you have one.

As of 5pm tonight the bimart on beaverton-hillsdale had an open box tekota 601a non line counter reel for 99. Seems like a total steal but I didn’t need it at this time

It's gone as of today... at least the guy who I asked looked at me like I was crazy when I asked about it. I didn't see it regardless.

Fish-Field has various Uglystik Tigers (casting, spinning, jig, elites) on sale for $50, normally $80.  Pay special attention to the model numbers though I THINK some are the older stock with the old guides which have stainless frames + a guide insert.  New guides are 1 piece stainless.   Old rods I think had Fuji branded reel seats where the new ones are generic.

If you in Vancouver BC, Helly Hansenn Aegir Oean Racing drysuit 50% off at Queensborough Landing Mall in New Westminster. Regular price $2000 CAD and it is $1000 in that store. Sweat deal, but only L size. Saw it on the weekend. Too bad nothing in M size.
I checked online, but no ... sale is only at the store there.
