I have thrown a bank fishing party for Sturgeon the last five years for my non kayak / non fishing friends. I had it at Sauvie Island on the Gilbert river.   With the closure of the Gilbert I find myself in need of a bank fishing area that can accommodate 30-50 people.  We fire up the grills, drink whatever shows up and throw some cornhole for those who aren’t focused on fishing.

Does anyone know of another location , April-June, that can handle that?  Losing the Gilbert was a shocker, something else in the Portland area would be outstanding.

Thanks for your input..

Mary S Young Park in West Linn?   I used to ride my bike out there--large park; folks do Sturgeon fish there but I haven't....

Kelly point park is a nice place to fish with lots of room to play and lounge. But the river is not right next to the parking lot. Use to take my wife down there and we killed the sturgeon there, nice big sand beach to relax on. Fish on the willamette side and not the Columbia
