I would think you could get a used outback for that price aswell.  Not sure what you are looking for.

I got my outback i believe 2012 for $1200.

I would like a outback but I live in Vancouver BC so not many hobies for sale. All I’m looking for is a pedal kayak for inshore Fishing.

It may be worth driving down to Seattle. There seems to be plenty of good options around that price point a couple hours south

Saw a Hobie Mirage on craiglist. It's in Bellingham, WA asking 1400 US$.

A sport is absolutely one of those kayaks you NEED to try before you buy.  I once thought it'd be a fun kayak to have, then I tried one.  They are SMALL.  Sure, there are people that use them and love them, I just don't think of it as a fishing kayak that will work for most people.

Hold tight, it's winter and not much is hitting the classifieds.  Western Canoe and Kayak had a gently used Hobie complete with cart, sail kit, ama's, etc. for roughly $2000 about 2 months ago.  I don't recall the exact model but it looked like a pretty good deal.

NA has New Old Stock Sports for about that same price, right now. Seen it with my own eyes.

I bought one for Mrs. P around this time last year. She's under 5' and around 90#. It's a good boat for a small person; she'll never sniff the salt anyway.

I PM'd you as well.  Possible someone else on the forum knows you personally and will see this sooner and can get hold of you.  This just popped up locally...  http://www.usedvictoria.com/classified-ad/Hobie-Mirage-Kayak_31691407

If you haven't already bought a Hobie, this looks to be a pretty good buy.  If you want it, I can pick it up and hold it for you at my place until you can get here to pick it up.  You'd just need to pay for it (e-transfer).
